November last year, Nigerian artiste, Patoranking adopted South African house music, gqom for his latest song Available. The DJ Catzico and Vista produced beat is a fusion of mesmeric vocal loops, punchy kick drums and snare rolls.
Patoranking’s influence on dancehall has been definitive recently and he is following up his latest feat with a video directed by Clarence Peters. The video for Available begins with a panegyrics in Yoruba, were were ni ina jo o and leap into colourful, cultural and choreographic dance moves mostly on a cheery and bright landscape. The South African themed music video was inspired by gqom’s vibe, it is afropolitan with an almost vintage feel and shows off Patronaking’s beard gangship.
